We are currently looking for a Part Time Assistant Manager and Full Time Sales Associate.

We are seeking to fill a full time, supervisory and “hands-on” position responsible for the day-to-day operation of a busy 548,000 sq. ft. shopping centre.  The successful candidate will possess:

·        A minimum of 3 years related supervisory and 5 - 7 years related work experience in similar environments and with similar systems including central plant, building automation systems, and building environmental controls.

·        A secondary school graduation diploma and a minimum 5th class, standardized Power Engineers certificate.

·        Proven organizational and leadership skills in a similar environment working with staff and contractors prioritizing, scheduling, monitoring and performing the same tasks on a rotating schedule over a 7 day period.

·        Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·        Mechanically/electrically inclined with the ability to operate, perform preventative maintenance on and troubleshoot if reactive maintenance is required on:  HVAC, electrical equipment, fire alarm and sprinkler systems, emergency power generators, waste compaction equipment etc. and read related shop drawings and manuals.

·        Be fully competent in all related legislation and Occupational Health & Safety (eg. WHMIS).

·        Valid British Columbia Drivers license with an acceptable driving abstract and be able to present clear criminal background check.

·        The availability to be on call and/or work weekends.

Duties & Responsibilities:   

• Perform Security Patrols of the Centre. (foot, mobile and bike patrols)
• Respond to requests for assistance from management, tenants and customers.
• Ensure tenant, customer and employee safety within the centre.
• Investigate and document incidents within the centre.
• Maintain the highest standards of security and professionalism at all times.

 Skills and Experience:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Post Secondary Education and previous security experience is an asset but not required.
