History of Brentwood

August 1961 Brentwood Mall opens as a partial open air strip centre and partial enclosed mall with Anchors: Eaton’s, Loblaw’s Supermarket and Zellers.
1970 Brentwood encloses the open air strip centre, expands, and adds mores stores.
1989 Brentwood re-opens after one year of extensive renovations; one full second level of stores, food court and a new two level Zellers are added. The second level features our famous Teflon Fabric Roof with white domes and peaks to mimic the North Shore Mountains. This semi-transparent roof gives the entire centre a bright, uplifting atmosphere (or ambiance).
2000 Sears Canada replaces Eaton’s and London Drugs is added to the expanded upper level.
2007 Brentwood Town Centre renovates and expands the food court, adds a Children’s Play area, brand new state of the art high grade washrooms, lighting, new flooring and painting throughout the centre. Carpeted areas have been added and soft seating is on its way!
